As a Client Intern, you will work as a full member of Sasol
Chemicals international team of data scientists and Full
Developers. The team delivers digital solutions based on advanced
data analysis and application development in close collaboration with
stakeholders across the value chain from operations to sales. We
work in three centers - the USA, Germany and South
Africa - with colleagues with a very diverse
educational background and experience. Mentoring and coaching are the pillars of our
team and you can rely on them during your internship to develop both
your technical skills and your understanding of your business. In our
team, we set aside one day a week for joint learning and development, and we are
also very active in various forms of sharing, exchange and research
- ShowandTell sessions, hackathons or community events are
just examples.
\ nRecruitment description / Main responsibilities
Working on a project as a member of the development team in an agile team
• Analyze production and business data using advanced
statistical methods and state-of-the-art artificial intelligence and
machine learning techniques. ? The owner and business
stakeholders can deploy and implement scalable solutions.
Actively participate with the team in scrum processes and meetings
Assist in communication, increase transparency and communicate information.
Skills
Soft knowledge of programming and information technology, mathematics, statistics and
optimization
Programming skills in Python, Django, JavaScript, React, SQL
IT skills and primary experience in application development
and deployment (Docker, Kubernetes, DevOps)
Minimum experience
Experience : 0-2+ years\ Formal Education
BSc Computer Science, BSc Data Science, BSc Actuarial Science or equivalent
