The goal of the Road Accident Fund is to actively encourage safe road use, rehabilitate and fairly compensate victims of motor vehicle accidents in a timely and compassionate manner, and provide adequate coverage to all road users within South Africa's borders.
Please note: This is a 12-month, fixed-term contract role.

Areas of Critical Performance
Validation and Verification.
Use a solid legal RAF Act and Regulations to apply your understanding of the Act, case law, and regulations on a daily basis in order to support assertions.
During validation and verification, look for and utilize applicable Case Law.
In accordance with the RAF act, ascertain if it's necessary to summon the wounded for interrogation.
Use RAF methods to confirm the claims.
In order to fulfill mandates and reduce more processing of similar claims, evaluate them.
At the claim and product level, look at and implement the prescribed set of rules.
Confirm data and information with the appropriate parties.
Evaluate the validity of death benefit products to establish locus standi.
Quality Assurance
As per standard operating procedure, keep all necessary reporting standards current and up to date.
Proper and sufficient quality assurance.
Keep verification and validation at the highest level.
Keep the execution of a unique occurrence procedure.
Administrative Assistance
Record claims that were previously evaluated for acknowledgment.
Handle and answer emails.
Create presentations, reports, briefing documents, and other materials.
Help with typing and proofreading memos, letters to different parties, technical articles, and summaries.
Stakeholder Management
Maintain positive relationships with all stakeholders.
Maintain open lines of communication and provide feedback to all parties involved to keep them informed on the progress of a query.
Answer inquiries within the allotted time frame.
Reporting
Keep track of and report on predetermined goals and targets.
Report on potential hazards.
Give ad hoc reports on process improvement efforts.
Skills
A related qualification at the bachelor's degree/ advanced diploma level.
Experience
3 years of experience in the claims environment that is relevant.
