Job description
Job Objectives:
Performs all operational functions at the store in an efficient, timely and effective manner. To maintain high accuracy when scanning items and collecting payments for purchased items, including Club Card rewards. To ensure safe handling of money at all times. Clickbox#039; club card and enroll new club card members to meet club card participation goals. Communicate discounts to customers so they can positively impact sales and ensure customers feel good and pay less. To deliver superior customer service by acting as a brand ambassador, being visible and offering a friendly and professional service. To efficiently execute and maintain all merchandising and general housekeeping duties according to store and visual merchandise standards. To support the Group’s vision to be the customer’s first choice health and beauty retailer by living and driving the company values. To maintain updated knowledge on products, ranges, promotions and events in order to provide the correct information to customers at all times.

Minimum requirements
Experience:
Desirable: experience in a customer facing role within a retail/FMCG store operations environment
Education:
Essential: Grade 12
Desirable: Maths 50% and English 50% at Grade 12 level

Purpose of work:
Uses cash registers, correctly processes acceptable payment methods and resolves customer inquiries.

Key Performance Areas
1. Providing AWESOME customer service to give the customer a WOW experience
2. Consider the unique and individual shopping needs of each customer and always put the customer first
3. Adhere to all basic customer service standards to ensure prompt and efficient customer service
4. Selling goods and most importantly increasing sales and services at the store
5. Prepare for the start of the day and confirm all transactions according to the company's standard operating procedures
6. Adherence to all sales and operating standards and schedules
7. Use cash registers and accept payments for goods purchased by customers
8. Investigation of returned goods and notification of relevant activities to control authorities
9. Ensure all sales locations comply with sales floor standard operating procedures
10. Preparation, execution and maintenance of all POS promoted sales campaigns
11. Ensures correct pricing and display of merchandise at the store
12. Participation in inventory and counting
13. Minimize inventory loss
14. Minimize costs in the area of responsibility
15. Maximize sales in all areas
16. Protects the property of the company in the area of responsibility
Entry requirements
1. Matric certificate
2. 6 (six) months of retail experience
3. Own or reliable transportation is required for shift work
general
1. Perform all other related duties as required by senior management
2. Completes all mandatory and advanced training as required
3. Strict confidentiality of all information
4. Conducts regular evaluations and assessments of personal development
5. Take responsibility and accountability for staying current with current SOPs
6. Full cooperation in the introduction of new technology and new methods.
