Objective: The CLAIMS OFFICER is in charge of assisting the Manager in the supply and administration of the RAF litigated cases that are currently handled by the RAF Attorneys.
Major Performance Fields
Carry out Initial evaluation of cases that have been litigated
Employ technical expertise and interpersonal abilities to analyze, assess, and resolve claims in order to facilitate the fair and quick resolution of cases and aid in lowering the proportion of legal expenses.
Reinsurance purposes should be reported for claims involving complicated and serious exposures.
Determining and settling income loss.
Through settlement discussions, make sure the claims are finalized in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
Assess the quantum and merits.
Use the old and new Act to evaluate general damages.
Determine if the loss of support has been resolved.
Determine how funeral costs were paid.
Determine how medical costs are settled.

Choose assessors for assessing quantum and merits.
Court order loading.
Carry out writ evaluation and reporting.
Approve offers.
Carry out bridge evaluations and reports.
Use the pleading procedure to escalate litigation arguments.
Confirm and evaluate the data used to resolve contested claims to make sure there is a litigious issue and that choices regarding the next steps in the litigation process are made in accordance with business practices, policies, and procedures.
Give file contents to RAF Attorneys so they may prepare for trial.
Obtain requests for approval regarding the delegation of authority and confer with the RAF Attorney's legal counsel on the litigation plan to be followed in advance of the trial.
Make sure that high court practice rules are adhered to.
Assess exceptional facts.
Evaluate allegations for potential resolution.
Assess reports written by medical legal experts.
Keep track of any missing data until every document has been received.
On a weekly basis, keep a diary of recurring events.

Examine claims investigated by RAF lawyers; conduct further investigations into dubious claims to ascertain if a settlement or bid should be approved.
Eligibility
Four (4) years A degree in law or its equivalent
be admitted as an attorney or advocate of the High Court.
Experience
3 years of relevant experience in the claims/litigation industry
