There are roles inside the Fidelity Group for Firefighters to use and apply their skills in responding to and handling any and all fire-related events.

The primary duties include, but are not limited to, fire incident response and firefighting, emergency rescue services, delivery of basic medical care, fire prevention and training programs, operation and maintenance of fire fighting equipment and apparatus, and all associated tasks as necessary to protect the lives and property of Fidelity Group clients.

Major areas of responsibility: (not comprehensive) by performing firefighting and emergency operations under the direction, mentoring, and supervision of seniors and officers in charge:

Responding to fires, rescues, and other humanitarian crises and emergencies, both urgent and not.

Responding to events involving dangerous materials

performing emergency tasks, freeing, and/or rescuing victims as instructed by the level of authority

Conducting emergency operations as instructed by the next level of authority, as well as resuscitating and treating wounded individuals

Maintaining a variety of tools for fire prevention, management, and suppression

Performing fire protection tasks in potentially life-threatening or property-threatening scenarios and having the right tools on hand as instructed by supervisors.

Planning for emergency situations and security responsibilities under the direction, mentoring, and supervision of senior officials and officers in charge

Take part in physical training, simulation exercises, and training drills as instructed.

To educate all relevant workers on the theory and practice required to combat fires

Provide guidance on preventive and remedial steps.

Use the appropriate tools, methods, and strategies to support local or national security operations for the protection of data, individuals, organizations, and property.

Carry out simple equipment maintenance to keep it ready for use.

Keep a thorough record of daily events by using a fully computerized occurrence log.

Performing health and safety inspections to ensure a safe work environment in the workplace

Attending meetings of the Departmental Health and Safety Committee

To or at emergency events, drive and run a variety of specialized heavy and extra heavy vehicles/equipment in accordance with instructions.

Using a variety of equipment to lift victims, gain entry to buildings, and/or remove victims, gear, and anybody else during emergencies.

To protect life and property, make sure the fire trucks and accompanying emergency equipment can be used securely and efficiently.

Help with fire safety inspections, life safety education, fire and safety training, and training exercises.

Through performing necessary safety inspections, making sure that subordinates use and maintain required protective gear, and making sure that all policies and orders aimed at advancing personal safety and preventing loss are followed, it ensures compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act with regard to the shift.

In order to help guarantee operational readiness and minimize damage to equipment, it makes sure that the specified equipment maintenance schedule is followed and that repairs are made at the shift level whenever feasible.

Under the direction of the Fire Chief, all shift-related administrative procedures outlined in departmental rules and orders must be completed in order to guarantee efficiency and the maintenance of the required records/registers.

Having prior experience with advanced driving is beneficial.

Fire prevention procedures are well understood and practiced.

Understanding fire-fighting systems (specifically those employed to put out fires, the classes and chemistry of fire)

No prior offenses.

The ability to respond quickly to crises.

Interpersonal communication, customer liaison, and administration abilities are essential.

Prior experience and knowledge of hazardous materials are required.

Goal:

Reporting to the Regional Manager of the cash processing area, the aforementioned position is available at FCS Westrand.

The primary goal of this role is to oversee the daily operations of the branches and make sure that all deposits are verified in a balanced position and handled in accordance with the terms of the contract between the parties.

Special Responsibilities for the Position:

Make sure that all client inquiries are handled promptly and professionally.

Make sure Incident reports are properly completed and treated in accordance with need, which may include informing clients where necessary.

Make sure that customer satisfaction is the top priority in our line of work.

Make sure all daily reports and statistics are filed correctly.

Make certain that all pertinent video footage of incidents is downloaded and stored.

After watching video recordings of tellers' operations, offer them constructive or negative criticism.

When feedback is unfavorable, advise tellers on what steps to take to improve.

Inform management of any defects in teller processing.

Investigate all discrepancies found during the processing of client deposits and requests.

Give clients feedback when it's needed.

Maintain detailed records of all fake notes and send returns to head office as necessary.

When asked, provide the head office with documentation and feedback pertaining to insurance claims and investigations.

Maintain an accurate record of every investigation.

Help out with miscellaneous duties.


Areas of Key Performance (KPAs)

Investigate every variance.

Inform Management of any anomalies.

Verify the accuracy of all information in incident reports.

Provide clients with continuous feedback about questions.

Any discrepancies above R 200.00 should be reported to the Branch Manager, or if there is no manager, to the Regional Manager.

Report any malfunctioning cameras and VSIs to the Branch Manager if no manager reports any faulty equipment to the Suppliers.

Managing incident reports, initial inquiries, and all other queries.

Verify that all required investigation documents are thorough and well-organized.

Make sure that all incident reports and investigation documents are submitted correctly every day.

If any cameras are discovered to be inoperable, make sure they are all fully functional and that they are reported.

Any other reasonable tasks or instructions given by management.

Essential Requirements

Certificate at the grade 12 or NQF level 4.

PSIRA certification with Grade C registration.

MS Office computer literacy (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
