The selected individual will be essential in making sure that patient and medical information is entered into our lab systems correctly, promptly, and securely, which will help improve diagnostic accuracy and operational efficiency.
Essential Competency Needs
qualification for grade 12 (matriculation)
Microsoft Office, with an emphasis on Excel proficiency, is a must for computer literacy.
Having a fundamental grasp of medical terminology is beneficial.
A minimum typing speed of 35 words per minute with excellent precision.
Prior experience in typing and administration
A focus on the customer, a love for providing patient care, and a desire for customer happiness
Outstanding data verification and attention to detail
Successful oral and written communication
Demonstrate effective interpersonal abilities and function as a team member.

In a high-pressure scenario, one must be able to function well and meet established goals.
Must speak English well and have a knowledge of Afrikaans.
Applicants must be willing and able to work shifts between 06:00 and 06:00, weekends, and holidays.
In terms of the behavioral and technical skills necessary for this role, the applicant must have a satisfactory track record or performance history.
Principal Duties
Patient and test data is captured and verified into laboratory information systems (LIS).
Maintain a high level of accuracy and speed when entering data (at least 35 words per minute).
Identify incomplete or inconsistent records and follow up for changes.
Adhere to privacy laws and data protection procedures
Help with routine audits and quality control procedures
For a smooth flow of data, work with lab and office workers.
