Description of the Job

The job's objective To aid in housekeeping chores and the charging of explosives.

• To support the MMU Controller in managing and running every aspect of a mobile manufacturing unit (MMU – BLEND truck) in accordance with the standards and procedures established by AECI (OTIF) in order to satisfy the needs of the customer.

• To aid the MMU Controller in conducting routine inspections in accordance with SABS and World Class standards on fixed plant and MMUs in order to find non-conformances, implement preventative actions, and strive for ongoing improvement.

• Help with any necessary blasting-related tasks, such as taking hole measurements, sealing or stemming loaded holes, providing security, and cleaning.

• Site Housekeeping

• Hygiene in the truck parking area and wash bay

• Hygiene of trucks

• The process of loading and unloading goods into vehicles

• Help with charging duties at the bench

• Help to close or stop any charged holes.

• The loading and unloading of packaged explosives and associated equipment

• To adhere to all legal requirements while at the depot

• To make sure that all MMUs are maintained in accordance with World Class Standards.

• Capacity for independent work.

• Every duty connected to blasting, as necessary

Experience and Qualifications

• Class 12

• Code B driving permit

• Workplace safety

• Product Expertise

• Dealing with dangerous materials

• Red ticket health clearance is a must.
