The Faircape Group is a collection of businesses engaged in a variety of industries, such as healthcare, retirement holdings, telecommunications and an ISP, utility management and infrastructure installation, property management, and associated services.

At our Claremont location, which is in the heart of the city, we're searching for a committed and trustworthy housekeeper to join our team. The selected applicant will be in charge of keeping the office area tidy, sanitary, and well-maintained. This includes things like errands, lifting and transporting supplies, general and thorough cleaning, and helping with more labor-intensive tasks.

Essential Duties

Regular Cleaning Tasks:

Vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and dusting every office and common space

Using sanitizing workstations, door handles, light switches, and shared surfaces

maintaining kitchens, cafeterias, and restocking supplies

cleaning microwaves and refrigerators, emptying trash cans, and disinfecting canteen tables

Manual Assistance and Heavy Lifting:

moving heavy loads, bottled water, and cleaning equipment

Helping with rearranging furniture and organizing storage.

handling, unpacking, and storing goods correctly

General Office Assistance:

errands such as picking up mail from Postnet on specific days

Helping with spontaneous cleanup duties and refilling bird feeders

providing assistance for specific cleaning initiatives and thorough cleaning when necessary

Planned Cleaning Tasks (Weekly & Monthly):

cleaning windows both inside and out, cleaning balconies, and vacuuming furniture

cleaning cabinets and dusting places that are difficult to reach

Criteria

Education and experience:

Having a Matric (Grade 12) is beneficial.

Prior experience in a comparable cleaning or housekeeping position

Abilities and Characteristics:

Friendly, trustworthy, and capable of working alone

Great attention to detail and stringent hygiene practices

understanding of how to operate cleaning equipment and utilize cleaning products effectively

Particular Requirements

In good physical condition and capable of lifting and carrying weights ranging from medium to heavy.

Excellent credit history

Hours of Operation

Monday through Friday, 08:00–17:00 (45-minute lunch break)

Flexible work hours are available between 7:00 and 18:00 with the consent of the manager.

Job Profile

In charge of making sure that every employee complies with the necessary standards of service and productivity.

Make sure service providers adhere to established protocols;

Keep an eye on the service provider's SLA.
