FLEET ASSISTANT
Immediate supervisor: Fleet Manager
At our Benoni branch, the aforementioned post is open. This position has the overall goal of supporting the Fleet Department's administrative duties and aiding in the management of the fleet across its branches.
Minimum Prerequisites:
a matriculation certificate or its equivalent
No prior criminal history
Great interpersonal skills
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook as well as computers
A minimum of two years' worth of management experience
Having worked as a fleet assistant is a benefit.
When necessary, can work long hours
Under pressure, able to adhere to tight deadlines and function independently.
Major Performance Areas (not all-inclusive):
Maintaining a document management and filling system, which includes archiving
Offer administrative assistance to the Branch Manager and Fleet Manager
Keep a daily, weekly, or monthly report.
Keep track of capital expenditures and asset needs
Helping with the maintenance, management, and oversight of business vehicles
Make sure that incidents are thoroughly investigated, that the proper steps are followed, and that all accident reports are completed and submitted to Head Office within the allotted time.
Getting quotations, placing orders, sending invoices to Head Office, making sure the required permission is obtained; follow up and make sure payments are made by Creditors department
