The role of a Software Development Engineer (SDE)
Amazon's SDEs create vital products for their customers and address real-world challenges on a worldwide scale using cutting-edge technology. SDEs own systems end-to-end; they create, test, and develop top-notch software solutions while also helping to shape the course of technology that thrills hundreds of millions of consumers worldwide. As part of their internship, Amazon SDE interns write code, create actual software, and work with seasoned SDEs. Interns create, code, and help address some of the most difficult technical challenges in the fields of distributed systems, data mining, automation, optimization, scalability, and security, to mention a few.
Internship with Amazon's SDE program
As an Amazon SDE intern, you will have the opportunity to showcase your coding and technical abilities, contribute meaningful value by owning and delivering a significant project that is important to their clients.

Throughout the internship, Amazon will evaluate your performance and, if you're a successful intern, they may give you the chance to begin a full-time, permanent position after you finish your education.
