The Department of Public Works, Roads and Transport has 100 opportunities for an Internship Programme on various disciplines within the Department for the 2023/2025 Financial Year. Interested young unemployed graduates with relevant qualifications are invited to apply for the below-mentioned opportunities that exist in various Departmental offices across the Province which include Bohlabela, Ehlanzeni, Gert Sibande and Nkangala District Offices as well as Head Office and Cost Centres. A 12 MONTH LEARNERSHIP AND WORKPLACE PROGRAMME

BidAir Cargo (Pty) Ltd offers young South Africans who are interested in having a career in the aviation sector the chance to enrol in a 12-month Learnership Programme.

An End User Computing NQF Level 3 certificate will be received upon completion of the learnership which is recognised and accredited by MICTSETA.

As a result, after a year, candidates would have acquired both a qualification and a year's worth of professional experience.

The programme is divided into 25% theory and 75% practical instruction.

We are looking for energetic, confident, friendly and helpful individuals who have a passion to get into the Aviation and Freight industry.

Experience within the field is not a prerequisite.

Requirements:

Should have a Matric (Grade 12) – Original Copy of Matric certificate

Have the willingness to learn

The CETA internship programme intends to contribute to a reduction of youth unemployment in a small, though meaningful way by providing both professional and generic internship programmes that will provide gainful work experience and professional registration, where applicable.

Entry Requirements:

Be a South African of less than 35 years of age, with a valid South African ID.
Relevant post matric qualification obtained from a recognised institution of higher learning.
Applicants must not have participated in any previous SETA sponsored internship programme.
Applicants must not have been previously permanently employed.
Previous work experience such as vocational work is welcome, but it is not a requirement.
Applicant to submit detailed Curriculum Vitae (CV) and a motivation letter to be considered for interviews.
Certified copies of the Identity Document (ID) and certified copies of academic qualifications.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Interns will be exposed to the following functions, amongst the others;-

Performing all functionary tasks for the unit at entry level.
Handle correspondence and enquiries relating to and maintain the units’ records and files.
Providing administrative support to the co-ordination of the units budgeting processes.
Assist with information gathering for the preparation for audits.
Assist in data collating and preparation of monthly and quarterly reports for units.
Performing all functions as delegated by the units’ supervisors and managers.
Prepare meeting agendas and take minutes.
Assists prepare at least 1 presentation per quarter, or as may be required from time to time.
for less than a quarter timeline.
Rotational planning should be structured in a manner that allows sufficient time for the intern to be exposed to different tasks of divisions within a specific department. The interns’ progress to be formally reviewed at least at the end of each and every quarter.
